What do you enjoy most about Insight and how are you hoping Insight will prepare you for your future?
Insight is a very beneficial program to everyone because of all the opportunities that arise because of it, and each individual in the program will have a different experience coming out of it. Personally I enjoy all of the real life experience with the mentors and the businesses, and I think that will give me an advantage going into college and even going into the workforce after college. With all of the projects that we are doing it feels like we are actually making a difference rather than just doing simulations that don’t change anything.

What do you enjoy most about Insight and how are you hoping Insight will prepare you for your future?
I feel privileged to be a part of the Insight program because I am exposed to many opportunities that I wouldn’t have in a normal classroom. Each student in this program was paired with a mentor that has a similar career that the student desires to pursue, which is one trait that sets Insight apart from traditional schooling. Before this year, I had no idea how the business world worked at all. Thanks to Insight, I am starting to understand how things are in the real world after working on a group project with a local business for the past few weeks. Through this program, I am hoping to grasp a greater knowledge of business and learn how to go about pursuing the health field. My mentor has already been a great help to me to send me in that direction by telling me more about her career as a massage therapist and introducing me to her friend who is a nutritionist. I believe this is an opportunity that all students should take advantage of if they want to get real-world experience before graduating high school.

What do you enjoy most about Insight and how are you hoping Insight will prepare you for your future?
The thing that I enjoy most about Insight is getting out of my comfort zone.  Insight has brought me out of my box that the school walls put into place.  Having to be professional and collaborate with businesses is something I was not used to however, is great practice for college which I’m sure there will be experiences where I will now be better prepared for because of Insight.  Insight will also help me learning how to be better organized and lead others in a group. Along with making new connections with businesses and leaders around the community.  All of these experiences will help me while I’m in college along with getting into the workforce after college with the connections we will make with professionals.
