The major focus again this week has been our business consulting projects. Students continued the industry research on their projects for their English course. Students have also been meeting with their businesses to discuss their projects in greater detail. The Insight students have done an outstanding job of handling themselves in a professional and competent manner in their first major meetings with clients.
In AP Economics, students focused on utility maximization and preparing for their Unit 2 assessment. In business, students continued their work using analysis tools such as PEST and SWOT.
On Thursday, students visited the Center for Organizational Advancement to participate in their high ropes course and low ropes course. Students learned to conquer their fears, leadership, teamwork, and problem solving. It was a great day!
We also received our first endorsement letter! The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee officially endorses Insight as a program that sets participants apart from their peers. UW-Milwaukee states, “The committees that review applications for admission and scholarship purposes will look favorably on students’ participation in Insight.”
In the next few weeks, students will continue their focus on their consulting projects and delivering quality work to their business clients. We encourage all parents to discuss the progress of these projects with their child and give them insights and support as they embark on this challenging part of the program.
