Apple Crisp Recipe

Maddie B. and Ellie J.

Cooking is a lifelong skill that allows students to get creative in the kitchen. Most importantly, you can share the final result with family and friends and enjoy a delicious treat.

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 Granny Smith or Honey Crisp apples

  • 1 cup of cinnamon and sugar

  • 1-gallon plastic bag

  •  1 cup of oatmeal

  •  1 cup of flour,

  • 1 cup of brown sugar

  •  ½ stick of butter (softened)

Directions:

First, preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Next, peel and slice the apples. After the apples are peeled, blend the oatmeal, flour, brown sugar, and butter until thoroughly blended. Place the apples, cinnamon, and sugar in the 1-gallon bag and shake until the apples are completely covered in cinnamon and sugar. Next, place the apples in a 9x9 pan. In the same pan, put the oatmeal mixture on top. Finally, bake your creation for 20-25 minutes. When the top looks slightly brown, then it's done. You can serve the apple crisp with ice cream.  ENJOY!
